Boxing

Boxing is a combat sport in which two participants, typically wearing gloves and protective gear, throw punches at each other within a designated area known as the ring. The objective of boxing is to score points by landing punches on the opponent while avoiding being hit. Matches are usually divided into rounds, and fighters can win by knockout (knocking their opponent to the ground and not allowing them to get up before a count of ten), technical knockout (when the referee stops the match due to one fighter being unable to continue), or by achieving a higher score on the judges’ scorecards at the end of the match. Boxing has a rich history and is governed by various rules and regulations, with different weight classes to ensure fair competition. It is recognized both as a professional sport and an amateur discipline, featuring in events such as the Olympic Games. Boxing is also known for its physical and mental demands, requiring athletes to demonstrate not only strength and agility but also strategy, resilience, and discipline.
