Economics

Economics is the social science that studies the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services. It focuses on the behavior and interactions of economic agents, such as individuals, businesses, and governments, as well as the allocation of resources in society. Economics can be broadly divided into two branches: microeconomics, which examines the decisions of individuals and firms and the mechanisms of market transactions, and macroeconomics, which looks at the economy as a whole, including inflation, unemployment, and economic growth. Economists analyze how entities make choices under conditions of scarcity and how those choices affect overall economic wellbeing. Economic theories and models aim to explain how economies function and to guide policymakers in promoting economic stability and growth.
