Soccer

Soccer, also known as football in most countries outside North America, is a team sport played between two teams of eleven players each. The objective of the game is to score by getting a ball into the opposing team’s goal. Players primarily use their feet to maneuver the ball, but they can also use their heads and torsos. The sport is governed by a set of rules known as the Laws of the Game, maintained by FIFA (Fédération Internationale de Football Association) at the international level. Matches typically take place on a rectangular field with a goal at each end. The game is popular worldwide, with millions of fans and players, and features prominent tournaments like the FIFA World Cup.
